My weekend started early and I really had two main events for the weekend.
First up, the date. A bunch of you have contacted me asking how it went and it went well! T and I met as a bar in Keller almost a year ago. He let me cry on his shoulder, gave me advice over a relationship with someone else I was trying to have (his advice: If you want him, go get him!). We texted for a while and the whole time this man made it clear, if the guy you are with doesn't want you, I want a chance. Then he let me be to try and work it out with the other guy (TOG) He texted me daily and called me a couple of times in the last 10 days. He wanted to know if I was with TOG or was it his turn now.
We met at Applebee's for drinks.
This was me before I left...a little nervous.
This helped relax me but it wasn't really the drinks. T is sweet, funny, and he has me all figured out, or he thinks he does. We talked a lot, watched a little baseball, and we had a nice time. It's too early to post pictures and he didn't really get why I blog so that can wait. (nobody really knows why I blog, right?) We will see each other again and that's enough for now.
After Thursday night I spent Friday shopping for and making my requested Spring 2013 drunk cupcakes for the 2nd part of my weekend!
There were 3 types of alcohol in the cake and yes, I bought the better quality stuff because let's face it...there will be leftovers.
But if you like buttercream the sweet, lime-alcohol infuses topping for these babies was kind of epic.
Next up the Tailgate and Rangers!
I met up with Khrystal, Veronica, Eric, Brandon and Laura for a pre-game tailgate and later we ran into Rachel and Monica.
I brought the beerita cupcakes with margarita frosting. This is one of my favorite cupcakes. I put them right up there with the White Russian cupcakes I made for Opening Night last year. I may have made Eric take some leftovers home because I don't need them! Wait...this is about a tailgate not cupcakes!
I wasn't actually feeling very well Saturday. My allergies were insane. My migraine was dull and constant. Plus I was having some back pain thanks to an infection so a lot of drinking was not on the menu for me but my friends made up for it! There were some awesome people that I didn't even get photos of....because I was actually too busy socializing. We had good talks, great baseball, and Khrystal's salsa. What more could you ask for? Oh, and the Rangers won!
Sunday is shopping time and relaxing.
Hope y'all had an amazing weekend and remember:

DeleteGlad to hear you had such a fun weekend! The cupcakes look amazing and super professional!! I am very impressed :)
ReplyDeleteI have a friend who took a class and I watched her but it isn't that hard. I like baking as long as someone else is around to eat. I would want them all otherwise! Lol
DeleteGlad you had a good date!! Wish we could've been there to tailgate with y'all!
ReplyDeleteOh that would have been so fun!
