Super Bowl Party Ready or not!

We have been working non-stop to get the house ready for the Super Bowl party we are having Sunday. We have stripped the film off the floors in the Kitchen, Dining and Living rooms. Last weekend we cleaned flower beds and planted flowers and onions. We are getting close to being ready so I thought I would share a few pictures.

In the meantime, we have a crockpot full of pork waiting to finish cooking for pulled pork. I have a menu of food to get ready including two types of fresh salsa, green and red, queso dip, onion dip, chips, stuffed jalapeƱos, summer sausage, crackers, cheese, and The Lord only knows what else since I have forgotten and my list isn't handy. You would think we are feeding an army. It's going to be about 10 good friends and a lot of food!

So, what are you serving for the Super Bowl?

Help! I need a favor

Do you ever feel so overwhelmed not by your life but by the problems others are making for you that you want to run away? Right now I would love to just pack up and go. Me, my bike, the people closest to me and a trail sounds perfect!

I keep reminding myself that when these things happen I have to trust God has a bigger plan. When people try to cause problems I have to remind myself to pray for them because they are struggling. I remind myself that there are no problems to big for God!

Right now I have plenty of people trying to bring me down. People trying to meddle in things that aren't their business. People assuming things that are inaccurate at best and border on calling me immoral. I have the tendency to get upset. I can handle the attacks on me. I realize that I have made certain choices which brought some of this on. I also realize that most of what these people are attacking me for, are not reality. However, When someone threatens my family, it is hard to see that person's trouble. I have spent a lot of time in the last week reminding myself that the people doing these things are unhappy. They aren't unhappy because of me or anyone I care about. They are just miserable in their own life. It's hard to pray for someone who is spending every waking moment trying to cause problems, stalking you on social media, and looking into your families past. I feel threatened because I have children in my family who are precious to me and should anyone threaten them, I would react first and think later. That said, there are people in this world who are so unhappy what they need is everyone to lift them up in prayer. So, that's what I am doing. I am praying for this person to find peace, love, strength, acceptance, heeling, and happiness. I would ask that anyone reading this blog today lift this person up in prayer. God will know who is tormenting me. He is smart like that. I have enough faith to know, God can do anything we ask in prayer.

So please pray today. Pray for this person and all the unhappy people in the world. We have grace when we are able to see the blessings in our lives are bigger than the troubles.

Jealous Haters: love you, mean it!

Because being happy is all that matters and love is too hard to come by, I love my haters. They inspire me.

Don't give up and Don't give in!

Sometimes things happen that open your eyes to how amazing your friends are. Yesterday was one of those days. I received text messages, phone calls, Messages on FB and throngs of support from my friends and they all had a simple message. Your friends know you and know you are a good person who would never do anything to hurt anyone so don't give up and don't give in. They reminded me again that I am a fighter.

I am a fighter. I don't fear anyone and I don't lay down or give up. I never have. I have been knocked down and broken but when that happened I found my strength. I forced myself to find God's grace and reminded myself that God doesn't let ANYTHING just happen. Everything I have been through, everything you have been through, everything we are all going through today is a lesson on finding Him and His love and relying on that.

Rely on God and an amazing group of friends spread out across this country who supported me last night when my faith was a little cracked because I felt the truth about something was being twisted. Thank you to my friends who reminded me again that they believe in me and know me and that it isn't my responsibility to explain myself or defend myself to anyone.

With all that said, I will continue my blog which is going into it's 3rd year officially now. Happy Birthday old friend! You have gotten me through some bad times and I am thrilled you are still here for the good ones!

Oh, and you know what day it is don't you? So ready for this weekend! Can't wait to give a few of my friends a big hug!

Blog break- I hate to do it but...

Time for me to take a blog break. I have a personal situation which is forcing this upon me. I hate to do it because this has always been my safe haven and my outlet however it appears that the blog has become a tool for a personal vendetta and I am not going to allow anyone to try and use my thoughts and feelings against me.

I hope this is a temporary situation and when hurt feelings are resolved we can all get along in a civil manner and do what is right for the innocent party involved.

Liars, Cheaters, and Stalkers

Blog address has changed

Please add me at http:/simplymethewayiseeit.blogspot.com

There are certain behaviors in our society that have wear me out. I am an honest person. It takes too much energy to lie and in the end, you are only kidding yourself. Let me explain. Most people are terrible liars. They over explain themselves and give it away. Honest people don't feel the need to explain away their actions. Liars always do. I have no time for liars.

Cheating comes in many forms. The obvious form is cheating on your significant other but it is more significant than that. Cheaters can be business people who stab others in the back to get to the top, people who play by no rules, people who work really hard to ruin other peoples plans or lives just to make themselves look good. Cheaters are the scum of society. I dated a cheater once (I didn't know at the time...stupid me) and in the end, he only ended up hurting himself. God has a funny way of making sure people get what's coming to them and cheaters have an extra special place in Hell!

Stalking is my newest pet peeve. I have been stalked a few times in the past. We all do it to some extent, I suppose. We check a friend's Facebook if we haven't heard from them or read a boyfriend's twitter feed occasionally. That is mild in comparison to what I have experienced which has gone from people trying spying on me to find out what's going on by reading my social media to people showing up at places I was at when I checked in somewhere. Both are childish, annoying and borderline crazy behaviors and are more a reflection on the people that do them than me. It's also incredibly dangerous and could require legal action if it doesn't stop.

I guess what people who behave this way need to understand is that they will never come out on top. They may have a temporary moment but at some point everyone will see them for who they are and nobody will feel sorry for them if they get exactly what they deserve. They usually do get exactly what they deserve.

Child safety: Clarifying today's blog

I just want to clear up something since I realize it has apparently caused some confusion for some of you. When I said I wasn't posting photos of the kids in my family any longer I meant all the kids. I have several in my life that I consider part of my extended family. I think the number is safely up to 9 and I am lucky that way.

I would never do anything I thought could harm a child. Any child. I watch a lot of ID TV so I am probably what you would consider overly protective. I try to make the right decisions whenever there are kids at my house. I always have. It doesn't matter if it is my God Daughter, one of my nieces, one of my nephews, or a child of a friend. They are all precious and need to be protected. There are just too many bad people out there. My brother is a police detective and he has never brought this up.

Now, with that out of the way I should also say, if you post a blog and you put pictures of your kids on it, I respect your decision and I am sure you are making a safe decision for your family. Like I said, I am overly protective. Maybe there is a reason I don't have kids myself. I would suffocate them!
If you do post those pictures, please make sure the GeoTag is turned off. You would be surprised how cleaver criminals can be and if Facebook isn't private, please make it that way.

Okay, that's all I wanted to say. I hope you all have a happy Monday.

Weekend Happies: Me, horses, fish, Yu Darvish and Dirk Nowitzki

Calf Ropping

This is actually part of the opening ceremony

They give out scholarships to teens who can catch and corral calves.

The Ft. Worth Star Telegram had a booth and the photos were awesome.  I may have been fascinated by the sports!

Wagon racing.

Some cute horses

Me with my Rangers happy!

I love this photo. Once in a while the iPhone does good!

Such a cute baby!

This was a fun and full weekend.....

Saturday we went to the Ft. Worth Stock show and rodeo.   It was my 1st time.  I have to say that the day was amazing.  We had such a great time walking around and seeing the amazing animals plus the rodeo was cool.  Not exactly baseball cool, but it was great.  After trip number one to Walmart we came home and did yard work which doesn't sound exciting but we got so many bags of leaves and just junk out of my flower beds which let me get in there Sunday.....
These are the 2 newest members of our family.  I am thinking of calling them Andrus and Beltre.   I think we are all going to have our own names for them but naming them after Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre works for me!

Sunday we managed to get a bunch of pansies (Trip number 2 to Walmart) planted in the flower beds that we cleaned on Saturday and we planted onions.  Onions are probably my favorite veggie but I have never tried to grow food.  Before now it has always been flowers.

A little administration time:
I have decided to share photos on my blog that don't include any of the kids.  I am worried about protecting my family.   I think it is safer that way and I would prefer to keep the kiddos safe.   You never know who is reading the blog.  This is a decision I have been debating for a while.  Most of the photos I have used in the past have been blurry or out of focus for a reason.  Still, you can't be too careful these days.  I am not posting those to Twitter, either if anyone cares.  From here on out my Facebook will be the only place you will find my family photos and it's private.   I feel like this is necessary for a variety of reason.  I hope you understand.   (This won't include Ries, Sadie, Andrus or Beltre but if anyone tries to hurt them, I will just take them out.)

Alright, that's all I have for the weekend.   What fun stuff did you do?   Happy Monday.....just try.
