You know when the holiday's are over...you have spent so much time with your family and you are in a relationship. Somehow you can't find time to see your friends a lot during that time...or maybe it is me.
Balancing a relationship, helping take care of kids, and family obligations has made me miss my time with my friends. Don't get me wrong, I love my boyfriend and his kiddo. I love my family and the holidays but...I could use a group huge from my girls.
I miss them. They have obligations of their own. They have boyfriends, husbands, kids. It isn't easy to balance schedules.
I miss my baseball friends. I miss my best friend who has the flu, I miss my shopping/shoe/handbag buddies. I miss my Alabama fan and my Florida friend who I haven't seen in so long. I wish there was a group vacation we could all take and just get away, talk about life, and "sit right here on the edge of the pier, Watch the sun disappear and drink a beer."
Life is so short and friends leave. It's a hard lesson but it is a reality. They leave by choice or they leave by circumstances but missing them, that is just the way it is.
Simply,
Laura

I've been feeling this way too recently. It's SUCH a hard thing once you're in a relationship and your friends aren't. They feel like you've left them behind, and you feel like they're moving on without you. I know that Donny is my most important person, and that he's the one who matters most, but I really miss my girls right now.
ReplyDeleteThat's exact it. Sometimes you just need a hug from your girls and a little time to not think about anything but...shoes or baseball! Lol
