No biking this weekend. BOO!!! It was super busy at least until Sunday, however.
This is her new car. Isn't it pretty? When you turn it on, it says "Hello" on the dash and when you turn it off it says "Goodbye".
So adorable!
Later that night we went to meet friends at Sherlocks in Arlington. This is us on the way out the door.
I like playing with Snapbucket. I actually prefer it to Instagram about 99% of the time.
Khrystal, Me and Rachel.
Chance was with us. (I am still struggling with the new haircut and it is driving me nuts. It never looks right!)
Rachel was shaking it without Luke Bryan.
Later we went to Mac's Tavern. James Holland who writes a Rangers blog for Shut Down Innings serenaded Rachel, Khrystal and myself. There is a video of this which is just awesome but you all will have to suffer with just a photos. The song was "Can't Take My Eyes Off of You" and I have been singing it all weekend!
Saturday was the Stars game. See how my hair actually looks cute before I walk outside?
Then we make it to the DART Rail to go downtown and I look like crapola!
Thanks to Chance, my seats for the game were totally awesome! Chance, Khyrstal and I watched from this position all night. It was great fun even if the Stars lost.
Hockey really does a good job of putting on a show. I love seeing the fun!
Sunday I decided I wanted to cook....Spaghetti Squash. So I tried two recipes. One is a "Mac" and Cheese which is really Squash and Cheese. The other is a no noodle ground turkey and veggie lasagna.
They both turned out awesome. I won't use as much cheese next time though.
Here is a funny little moutain bike story to end my blog. I have become sort of the office go to person for bike riding advice. (With my months of experience I am apparently the wise sage of Mountain Biking?) The Human Resource Manager came to talk to me about biking a few months ago. I gave him the same advice a friend of mine who bikes gave me. Go to a bike shop to buy a good, entry level bike. Expect to pay at least $300-$500 and know that it is worth every penny. Well, he came to my office and sat down this morning to tell me he went out to Corinth Park to ride this weekend. He turned his head and there is a big gash on it. He apparently ran into a tree coming around a turn and ruined his bike. He admitted that he was riding the $99 bike he bought at Walmart years ago and that he just wanted to try it out to see before he decided if it was for him. He also admitted that this bike had a fixed suspension. It is really hard to ride a mountain bike trail without at least front suspension. The funny thing is, the smile on his face. Even having run into a tree (he wasn't wearing a helmet either....NEVER don't wear a helmet people!!) and suffering a mild head injury, he said he had a great time. He felt awesome after and he had so much fun. I told him that soon he would be like the rest of us addicts. Missing it when we have to go days without.
Happy Monday!!
Simply,
Laura
