These four people make me happier than any other people on the planet earth. They don't care what my hair looks like or if I am looking cute or fat or if my shoes don't match my purse. They love me for who I am. They love me because we play and have fun and laugh together. They love me because I am 'so silly, Aunt Lala'. They are the best and I adore them. Kids have a special way of making everything clear and simple. They love you unconditionally even when you fail. They forgive you when you slip up and make mistakes. They don't sit back and judge you for being an imperfect human being. Best of all, they know how to play and have fun. It is really too bad that as we grow we lose some of our best childlike qualities.
I hope today, as everyone reflects on where they are, we are all able to recall the importance of faith, family, friendship, and love. These things and these alone will get you through the difficult times.
I often find that I need to remind myself that God has my back and no matter what I face in life, I can overcome by relying on my faith.
